After-Sales & Care

Expert answers directly from the factory floor.

How do I clean my lab diamond ring?

Soak in warm water with mild dish soap. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush (like a baby toothbrush). Rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth.

Can I use an ultrasonic cleaner?

Yes, for diamonds checking prong tightness first is wise. Avoid ultrasonics for pave settings if stones are loose. Never use on emeralds/pearls.

Why does my diamond look cloudy?

It's likely dirty. Oil from fingers, lotion, and soap scum stick to diamonds. A quick degreasing clean will restore its sparkle.

What if a small side stone falls out?

It happens rarely. If it's within 1 year, we replace it for free. Bumps and knocks can shift metal over time.

How often should I check the prongs?

We recommend a professional check-up every 6-12 months. You can also listen for a 'rattle' near your ear.

Can I wear my ring in the gym?

We advise against it. Lifting weights can bend the metal shank (out of round) or crush delicate prongs.

Is chlorine bad for gold?

Yes! Chlorine (pools, bleach) attacks the alloys in gold, making it brittle and prone to cracking. Remove rings before swimming.

Will hand sanitizer hurt my ring?

It won't hurt the diamond or gold, but it can leave a film that makes the stone look dull. Excessive use might affect some rhodium plating.

How do I store my jewelry?

Store pieces separately. Diamonds are the hardest substance and will scratch gold, platinum, and other gemstones if jumbled together.

Can I resize my full eternity band?

Usually no. Because diamonds go all around, cutting the metal destroys the setting pattern. You usually have to order a new size.

Does insurance cover damage?

Most specialized jewelry insurance (like Jewelers Mutual) covers damage, theft, and loss. Homeowners insurance may only cover theft.

Can you repair rings from other jewelers?

We prioritize our own customers, but for partner accounts, we offer a full repair service suite.

How do I ship a ring back for repair?

Double box it. Use FedEx/UPS with insurance. Do NOT write 'Jewelry' or 'Diamond' on the label. Label it 'Fashion Accessory'.

What is 'rhodium dipping'?

It's an electroplating process to restore the bright white finish to white gold. It takes about 15 minutes in a workshop.

Can scratches on gold be polished out?

Yes. A professional polish can remove surface scratches and make the gold look brand new. Note that polishing removes a tiny layer of metal.

Why is my ring spinning?

It might be top-heavy or slightly too big. 'Sizing beads' (small metal bumps added inside) can stop spinning.

Do prongs wear down?

Yes, over 5-10 years, gold tips wear down. 'Re-tipping' adds new metal to secure the stone again.

Can I shower with my ring?

It's risky. Soap makes fingers slippery (drain risk!). Also, soap scum builds up under the stone.

Is my warranty void if another jeweler works on it?

Technically yes, because we can't vouch for their workmanship. But we evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

What is the best travel case?

A hard-shell travel case or a soft fabric roll that keeps pieces separated is ideal.
